We are happy to inform you about the new international regatta program 2020 – 22. Uncertain times are behind us, they are not over yet. All the more we want to look to the future with confidence – this program shall contribute to this.
- International Autumn Regatta – „Nebelpokal“, Oct. 2 – 4, 2020 in Berlin
The Yacht Club Berlin Grünau (YCBG), our host for the Yngling Worlds, has kindly invited us to participate in their 70th „Nebelpokal“ (fog trophy). Day 1 will be exclusively for Yngling, days 2 and 3 will be sailed together with other classes. Last year 27 Yngling participated, we trust we will have a large fleet in 2020 again. We are sailing on the „Müggelsee“, where the Worlds 2021 will take place as well. This provides a perfect opportunity to get to know the Worlds regatta area.
As Corona has not disappeared yet, please check regularly the website of YCBG (www.ycbg.de/?page_id=12658) for the status of the event. - Annual General Meeting (AGM), Oct. 2. 2020
The AGM will be held on Friday Oct. 2, at 22.00h on the premises of the YCBG. The meeting time has been chosen to allow USA and AUS to participate via video conference. Those who are present in Berlin can participate in person, all others via video conference. - Spring Time Regatta in Riva del Garda, spring 2021
Yngling Austria will kindly organise this event again. Details will be known in late fall 2020. - Worlds 2021, July 24 to 31 in Berlin, Germany
The YCBG has offered to postpone the Yngling World Championship 2020 to 2021. The Notice of Race 2020 will be essentially unchanged. The only major changes are the new date and the payment procedure of Youth boat fees. The 2020 quotas, applications and youth boat admissions will be carried forward to 2021. - Worlds 2022, July 22 to 27 in Koper, Slovenia
The host club JK Jadro Koper has generously approved the postponement by one year.
In summary, we hope to meet again early October 2020 in Berlin. The Worlds 2021 will be sailed in Berlin as well, the Worlds 2022 will be on new waters, in Koper, Slovenia. For pleasant anticipation, please refer to the articles describing both places, in the 2020 Yngling Magazine.
